‘Last Tango in Paris’ actress Maria Schneider dies at 58 0

Popular French actress Maria Schneider died earlier today in her hometown in Paris, France. She was 58.

A spokesman for the agency of Schneider announced that Maria passed away after a long fight against an illness. However, no further details about the cause of death or the illness itself was disclosed.

Schneider is best known for her role as Jeanne in the 1972 motion picture Last Tango in Paris. She portrayed a sexually-liberated woman in that film. She was also known for the film Jane Eyre where she played the mentally ill woman named Bertha.

She was once accused of being addicted to drug. There were also rumors about an attempted suicide.

Twilight star Kristen Steward eyed to play Snow White in film 0

Twilight star Kristen Stewart has reportedly got into negotiations for her to star as Snow White is the upcoming Universal’s movie Snow White and the Huntsman.

A few days ago, Stewart was included on the short list of actresses being eyed to portray the fairest one of them all. While she did not undergo screen test for the role because of her current Hollywood A-list status, there are other young actresses who underwent screening procedures to try their luck into ending up to the big role.

The negotiations to have Stewart play the role were tight as the offer landed to her over the weekend although there is still no signing yet.

Viggo Mortensen is in negotiations to be cast as The Huntsman. Snow White and the Huntsman presents a twist on the classic tale by adding the character of the Huntsman who will teach and protect Snow White against the evil queen.

Orlando Bloom steps out with newborn son Flynn for the first time 0

Orlando Bloom finally came out in the open for the first time with his son named Flynn.

It can be recalled that it has been days since his wife Miranda Kerr posted the first photo of their son Flynn. Orlando had his first father-son photo op when he decided to have a paparazzi walk together with his sister, Samantha.

Orlando and Miranda started dating in late 2007. Their engagement was announced on June 21, 2010. A month after, Miranda announced that they had an “intimate” wedding ceremony.

Six months after the announcement that the couple were expecting their first child, Flynn was born on January 6, 2011.

‘Eclipse’, ‘Last Airbender’ lead Razzie nomination for Worst Picture 0

We are maybe close to the Academy Awards for this year, but do not forget about the Razzie Awards garnering much attention because of giving awards for the worst films.

Topping the list of the nominations today are the blockbuster vampire-werewolf tale The Twilight Saga: Eclipse and the fantasy film The Last Airbender which tied with nine nominations each.

Also nominated for worst picture are the Jennifer Aniston comedy film The Bounty Hunter, the parody Vampires Suck, and the Sarah Jessica Parker romantic comedy Sex and the City 2.

For the worst actress category, Twilight star Kristen Strewart who plays Bella earned a nomination. Her co-stars Robert Pattinson who plays her vampire boyfriend Edward, and Taylor Lautner who plays her werewolf pal, were both nomination for the worst actor category.

Halle Berry’s ex-husband Eric Benet engaged to Prince’s ex-wife 0

While her ex-wife Halle Berry has announced that she will no longer walk the aisle after two failed marriages, Eric Benet is engaged according to his representative.

The lucky girl is Manuela Testolini whom Eric has been dating since three years ago. It was reported to Us Magazine that “they are engaged and very happy”.

Eric proposed to Manuela last November 2010. They are currently living together in Los Angeles. There is still no set date for the wedding.

It can be recalled that his marriage with Halle Berry ended in 2003 because he cheated.

Manuela Testolini was previously married to musician Prince for five years until 2006.

A Star is Born remake may team up Clint Eastwood and Beyonce 0

The remake of “A Star is Born” may be featuring the team-up of Clint Eastwood and Beyonce.

Warner Bros. made the confirmation about the negotiations about the remake of the 1937 classic.

Eastwood is set to be the director of the new version of A Star is Born, while Beyonce would be play the main character.

Billy Gerber is to produce the film, together with Basil Iwanyk and Jon Peters who were also the brains behind the 1976 A Star is Born starring Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson.

Negotiations are still ongoing and there are no final deals yet.

Kate Hudson pregnant with Muse frontman’s baby 0

Actress Kate Hudson and Muse frontman Matthew Bellamy will surely bring in more excitement this year as they begin with something exciting—they are having a baby!

The 31-year old Golden Globe Award-winning actress is currently 14-week pregnant, according to the report of Us Weekly. A source told the magazine that Hudson’s pregnancy was not planned, but she and Bellamy are excited about it as they accept it with open arms.

It has just been seven months since the first time Hudson and Bellamy were reported to be dating. Hudson split with New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez, while Bellamy broke up with his fiancee Gaia Polloni last June 2010.

Hudson already has a son named Ryder, a 7-year-old, whose father is her ex-husband Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson.

Stephanie Seymour’s son speaks up after controversial kissing photo with mom 0

After the wildfire set by the controversial photo of Stephanie Seymour strangely receiving a kiss from her son Peter Brant II, the 18-year old model issued a statement regarding the misinterpretation of the photo.

Peter pointed out that he and her mother are very close just like how she and her other children are. He admitted that there is intimacy on the way they often hug and kiss. During that time when they were on the beach, they were not aware that photographers were taking pictures of them kissing.

He also revealed that he is gay and that there is nothing for them to hide.
